Weekly Highway Radio Rant

Did my weekly highway run from windsor to toronto today, as stated yesterday i knew it was going to be a very hot day in the non-air conditioned cab. Todays temperature was 97 degrees.

Here is a recap (hoping to become a weekly rant) of my day on the road and all the various crap i listen to on the radio while cruising at 120 km/hr.

I always look forward to catching the start of Rovers Morning Glory
at 6:30 am est dialed in on live 97.1 Free FM
wishing once again that i could listen to the whole show but knowing that within the hour i'll lose the reception as i get a little further away from detroit

the story i took away from the hour i had to listen today was something that dieter had brought up, it was regarding a story about video games and their effects on children, dieter dug this vid clip up from the net and they played it and wow, I hope this kids parents are aware of this behaviour.

it was about this point in their show that i lose them and switch my fm dial over to
101.1 the wrif

Drew and Mike are always a grand laugh over at the wrif, and yowza they were all over mel gibson. Usually get about an hour of Drew and Mike before its dreaded am time.

It's about 2 hours into my trip now and it's time to head to am on the dial, I catch a little greg and brady from WDFN 1130 am, and got a good listen to about the tigers and their player that got himself a " hit for the cycle" Since i live across the river frome detroit I am enjoying the baseball fever thats about in the air here in town, it reminds me of the blue jays fist 2 world series victories that i got to enjoy in person back in 91-93.

8:45 am means it's CFRB and Bill Caroll Time located at 1010 on the am dial, but alas Bill is on Holidays for 2 weeks and spot was filled with Peter Sherman who I listened, paying more attention to traffic spots with my inc to toronto in a few hours. followed by the motts And John Moore on the ride home.

Sitting home now after a long and very hot day, listening to rome online from his show this afternoon that im unable to pick up out on the road
